For the 15th anniversary of the festival, the Art Industry Foundation asked us to create a completely new visual identification for the event, build a new website, and prepare marketing materials.
The festival’s new visual style came together very quickly. After several orientation sessions, we presented a design that drew stylistic inspiration from Russian Constructivism with industrial accents. We limited the colour palette to red and black, and after presenting the design, we heard “I love you” : )
Based on this, we developed a design system that we implemented across the entire festival communication spectrum – from social media, the website, posters, print and outdoor advertising, to nametags and information boards.
To create an archival and historical section on the website, we conducted research and gathered information about all previous winners of the “Man with a Golden Ear” award and artists performing at the festival (yes, organizers often forget to archive such details, which we completely understand, because they’re always thinking about the next edition : )
Thanks to its original and distinctive design, the festival’s communication was highly visible both in the public space and on social media. A series of publications about historic performances at the festival inspired attendees to share their memories in the comments. The clean, functional, and informative website became a source of knowledge and information for both attendees and the media. These activities contributed to increasing the reach and recognition of the event, which sold out 100 percent of its seats.
