The Łódź property was the first student hotel in Poland in the Basecamp Student chain. This completely new offering in our market required building a customer need and brand awareness that would meet that need.
How to change students’ mindsets about accommodation? The innovative format of a high-standard student hotel in Łódź is the first of its kind in Poland. Our mission was to convince students of this idea.
Basecamp combines the privacy of a rented apartment with the attractions of dorm life. We began communicating this to students during the hotel’s construction phase, to capture their imagination and connect with them emotionally even before its opening.
Building its image and reaching the right target audience on Facebook, combined with activities throughout the city, convinced students to choose Basecamp as their place of residence for their studies. Carefully crafted communication showcasing the advantages of both the hotel and the city quickly established the brand, which translated into business success.
The vision for the atmosphere, functionality, and benefits of Basecamp Student, which we developed together with the investor, was so compelling and convincing that most of the apartments were rented long before the hotel’s official opening. The best practices developed while promoting the Łódź facility have been applied to other cities.
